Join Us

If you would like to become more involved with the work that SEA is doing, you may do this in a number of different ways depending on your available time and level of involvement you wish to contribute.

Becoming a member will get you on our email list so that you will receive important messages and updates that may not be posted to this webpage. Also, when you become a member, you are invited to pay dues. This helps us pay for things like seminars, advertising, publications, insurance, etc. In addition to your membership dues, we encourage you to donate additional dollars as you are able.

You may also join us by becoming a volunteer. This can be done in any number of ways, the most visible being to serve as a Wildlife Interpreter on our locations in Bandon and Charleston. At these two overlooks you would invite visitors to look through our spotting scopes for a closer view of the wonderful marine life in the distance and talk to them about the critters they are seeing.

You might choose to volunteer doing research, writing articles, taking and submitting photos for our site or our publications, assisting with advertising, or setting up seminars throughout the winter. You’ll also see that there are many ways you can assist with the Oregon Coast National Wildlife Refuge. A list of help they are seeking is on the “Volunteer” page.

Whatever your level of involvement, your participation with us will be greatly appreciated as well as enjoyable for all of us.
